About Me

The Crimmel Family- Brett, Tricia, Brittany, Zachary & Jacob

Early Years

Growing up as a pastor's kid, I've loved being a part of the local church as long as I can remember.  The unique part of that story for me is that our family moved all over the U.S. every few years as we followed God’s call.  It was certainly a great way to learn to make friends quickly, do hard things and invest in the local church.  After all, when church is the reason you move, you learn to jump in both feet first.

Coming to Christ

I was raised in a Christian home and at the young age of six, my mom had a conversation with me where I realized I never wanted to live without Jesus.  That was the answer to prayers for my parents and the start of my life with Jesus.  I’m so grateful that I don't remember life without Him.

Present Ministry

After serving as a Programming Director on the East Coast for several years, I had the privilege of joining the team at Saddleback Church in Southern California. It was a season of incredible growth—navigating ministry exclusively online during the pandemic, transitioning to outdoor gatherings, and ultimately renovating and re-opening the Lake Forest campus worship center.

Today, I have the joy of serving with HouseRight, where I help churches across the country in their mission to share the Gospel. I love partnering with multiple teams and organizations, and I’m grateful to contribute to the work God is doing through them.

Ministry Philosophy

As they say, "ministry is all about people."  And I think that’s the best way to do it.  Working together as a team (both on a staff and volunteer level), we’re able to use the gifts that God has entrusted with each of us to help build the Kingdom.  Being able to have “I see in you,” conversations with people and developing them and helping them reach their next step allows us to be better leaders, them to be better Kingdom workers (Ephesians 4:12) and the Kingdom to be better because they are functioning in their giftedness.  In doing so, we’re able to reach people - whether it’s for the first time or once again - and see more people meet Jesus.
